We are world travelers!

We hit our one year mark living overseas on February 15th- I can't believe how fast the time has gone. Its been such an adventure for us- a lot of adjusting and a lot of fun. In some ways we feel very isolated because we don't have access to all the American restaurants, stores or products we are used to nor do we get American TV so we haven't seen a movie preview or commercial in a year! But we also feel very lucky to have such a great opportunity to live outside the US and experience another culture and all they have to offer. I have actually found some really yummy Spanish cookies that I will miss when we leave here. This last year we were able to do some good traveling, especially since we were so blessed to have a lot of our family visit us. We visited Cadiz, Gibraltar, Morroco, and Ronda. We attended Semana Santa (Holy Week) and Feria. And one of the best things is picking up souvenirs along the way that we'll take with us wherever we go. While Grayson was in Turkey he bought Keaton a handmade rocking camel. Keaton likes to pull its rope and make it rock back and forth.
Grayson also brought me a beautiful hand painted plate and clock from Turkey to go with some other plates I have collected over the last year (they are the two on the right. The one in the middle I got in Morroco and Grayson got me the top left one in Italy and the bottom right I got here in Spain). Hopefully this next year brings even more adventure, travel and good experiences (as well as fun new treasures for us to collect!) :)
